“New Cryogenic and Isotope Technologies for Energy and Environment ”

In a global context shaped by accelerating technological transformation and the urgent need for secure, low-carbon and resource-efficient solutions, the International Conference “New Cryogenic and Isotope Technologies for Energy and Environment” – EnergEn brings together researchers, engineers, industry representatives and policy stakeholders to explore advanced technologies at the intersection of energy and environmental sustainability.

Organized by the National Research and Development Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies – ICSI Râmnicu Vâlcea (Romania), EnergEn was first launched in 1995, marking 25 years of pioneering research in cryogenic and isotopic separation technologies at the institute. Since then, the conference has continuously evolved, expanding from a specialized scientific meeting into an international forum addressing emerging challenges in advanced energy systems, hydrogen and cryogenic technologies, environmental protection, climate action, and integrated sustainable infrastructures.

EnergEn aims to facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge research results, promote interdisciplinary dialogue, and strengthen collaboration between academia, research institutes, and industry at both European and global levels. Each edition is built around a contemporary theme reflecting current scientific priorities and technological transitions, offering a dynamic platform for presenting innovative solutions, discussing policy and implementation pathways, and supporting the next generation of researchers.

Conference topics span advanced cryogenic systems, hydrogen production and infrastructure, isotope technologies, integrated and circular energy systems, energy storage and conversion, environmental monitoring and remediation, as well as the water–energy–food nexus.
